In the early 1950s, Gene Sutherland returned from the war with grit in his spine and a gift for turning a story into a punchline. He met Betsy—sharp, warm, and tireless—and together they built a life anchored in purpose, persistence, and a deep understanding of people.
A few years later, Sutherland Packaging was born.
